The Process

01 Book in a consultation, during this consultation we will discuss what occasion the garment is for, cuts of the garment, fabric selection, and time line.

02 Taking measurements, once all of the above has been addressed we will take your body measurements. During this process we take a 50% deposit for the garment.

03 Pattern Drafting, this is where we take your measurements from numbers to a 2 dimensional pattern.

04 Striking, this is where we take the pattern and strike it onto the cloth. Striking is a method of tracing the pattern with chalk and adding inlay for future adjustments.

05 Cutting, once all paper patterns are removed we follow the chalk lines and cut out your garment.

06 Construction, here we will construct the shell of your garment and get it ready for the first fitting.

07 First fitting, during our first fitting we will check over the garment and how it fits onto the body.

​

08 Rip down, we rip down the shell of the garment made from the first fitting and make all necessary adjustments if needed.

09 Second construction, here we construct the garment for a 2nd fitting.

​

10 Second fitting, we make sure everything is is fitting splendidly.

​

11 Hand sewing, we go ahead and baste down your linings and get every inch of the inner and outer garment hand sewn for that excellent finishing touch.
